Polyimide adhesive tape is a high-tech product with very impressive physical (mechanical, thermal, electrical) and chemical properties. Polyimide adhesive tape is coated with a thermosetting acrylic or silicone adhesive which gives the tapes particularly high strength and resistance.
The characteristics of the polyimide adhesive tape and of the polyester adhesive tape are identical at room temperature. However, variations in temperature have less of an effect on the properties of polyimide film compared with polyester film. Indeed, polyimide film does not soften at elevated temperatures, thus the film provides an excellent non-stick surface.
