3M Polyester Tape 8992 is a dark green polyester tape with a silicone adhesive. It can be used in a wide variety of high temperature applications including masking powder coatings, spark arrestors and bag sealing. It can also be used to splice, connect or close rolls of silicone-treated liners or materials.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • 3M 8992 polyester tape offers excellent resistance to heat, abrasion and chemicals, while retaining its flexibility.<\/li>
  • The green colour makes the tape easy to spot, both when applying and when removing.<\/li>
  • The support leaves a clear line of paint.<\/li>
  • Silicone-based adhesives offer high heat resistance compared to many rubber- and acrylic-based adhesives, reducing failure due to softening, bleeding and adhesive transfer.<\/li>
  • Silicone adhesives bond well to hard-to-bond surfaces such as silicone coatings and fixings coated with release agents.<\/li>
  • Silicone adhesive removes cleanly from many surfaces.<\/li>

    Store under normal conditions, between 16\u00b0C and 27\u00b0C (60\u00b0F and 80\u00b0F) and with a relative humidity of between 40 % and 60 %, in its original packaging.
