        Bij dit proces wordt een laag aluminium (of een ander metaal) van enkele nanometers tot enkele tientallen nanometers dik op een plastic film aangebracht door het aluminium in een vacu\u00fcm te laten verdampen.<\/p>

        Films kunnen gemetalliseerd worden om hun optische dichtheid te vari\u00ebren. Hoe hoger de dichtheid, hoe ondoorzichtiger de film wordt.<\/p>
