Trainee Data Engineer F/H

We are opening a Data Engineer traineeship (F/H) at our head office, for a start-up between January and March and a duration of 6 months.

Who will you be working with?

Reporting to the Data Engineer Team Leader, you will work cross-functionally within the Data, Infrastructure & Network team. You'll also be working closely with the Data Analyst team, with whom many cross-functional projects are carried out, as well as with other internal teams depending on project needs and objectives.

Main tasks

Plunge into the heart of our digital ecosystem and contribute to strategic projects that are shaping the future of our data platform. You'll be working in a collaborative environment, as part of teams that are passionate about technology and innovation.

As part of the Data Engineer team, you will be involved in developing our digital platform (CRM, Digital Commerce, Mobile Applications, data platform, collaborative tools, etc.). You will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, within a very rich digital ecosystem (SQL, ETL/ELT, AWS, Azure, EDI, visualisation and monitoring tools, etc.).

This course will give you the opportunity to find out more about :

• Data flow design and development
• Adding components to the platform
• Implementing and improving supervision tools

You will also be involved in a major project to completely overhaul the platform, with the aim of designing and deploying the second version of the existing system. You will be fully involved in the technical and functional choices and will work in tandem with your manager on this strategic project.

Your profile:

You are currently following an IT course (Bac +4, +5) with a strong Data component, you can handle Data Engineering tools and are open to related subjects (AI, data visualisation, etc.). You are rigorous and have experience of working in a team using Git and project management tools (Trello, Teams, etc.).

• Good command of SQL and relational databases
• Knowledge of how an ELT/ETL works
• Fluency in English
• You are autonomous but know how to work in a team

Basic knowledge of Python is a plus.

A first experience in a professional environment is appreciated (including internships).

You are curious and motivated to take on a variety of subjects and high-stakes projects
