Early Adopter Programme, Global Compact <\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Communication on Progress (CoP) is the main mechanism for participating companies to demonstrate progress against the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, relating to human rights, international labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

  1. Promote and respect the protection of international human rights law.<\/li>
  2. Make sure you are not complicit in human rights abuses.<\/li>
  3. Respect freedom of association and recognise the right to collective bargaining.<\/li>
  4. To contribute to the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour.<\/li>
  5. Contribute to the effective abolition of child labour.<\/li>
  6. To contribute to the elimination of all discrimination in employment and occupation.<\/li>
  7. Applying the precautionary approach to environmental issues.<\/li>
  8. Take initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.<\/li>
  9. Encouraging the development and dissemination of environmentally-friendly technologies.<\/li>
  10. Act against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.<\/li><\/ol>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    To add value and streamline sustainability reporting, a new Communication on Progress has been designed to enable participating companies to understand, measure, track and disclose their performance against the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and their contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>

    As a signatory to the Global Compact since 2012 and a committed company, ADDEV Materials was selected to join the early adopter programme for this new platform. Participants in the programme received early access to the draft framework and digital platform for communicating progress, and were given the opportunity to provide targeted feedback that will shape the platform ahead of its full launch in 2023.<\/p>
