Finishing Operator

Finishing Operator helps to ensure that all finished products meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.  Further, they help by reducing the cost of errors through consistent work quality.

Essential Functions:

• Finishes the production process by rerolling, cleaning, sorting, or repackaging
• Performs final quality inspection
• Packages the finished goods according to customers’ requirements
• Assists the estimator in determining the proper process to meet the requirements for products

• Understands work orders
• Set-ups finishing machines for work orders
• Runs work orders according to customers’ requirements
• Performs quality check to ensure finished goods meet customers’ requirements
• Records production data according to procedures
• Maintains activity log

Term of employment:

At Will; After 90 Day Probationary Period; Full-time, 40 hours per week, Hourly Non-Exempt. Typical work schedule Monday Thru Thursday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm with half-hour lunch, and Friday 6:00 am to 10:00 am.

Qualifications (necessary skills and experience required):

• High school diploma or GED or equivalence (the employer can qualify an employee if the experience is proven)
• Experience as a machine operator is helpful
• Read and communicate in English
• Adheres to all health and safety regulation
• The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
