Aramid/Polyimide/Aramid laminates are high performance insulating materials.
This three layers laminated technical film (NKN laminated film) is made of a Kapton® type polyimide film and two Nomex® aramid papers calendered on both sides.
These laminates are widely used in the manufacture and repair of motors and generators of various sizes and temperature classes. Generators with thermal requirements above class H (180°C) are among the most important applications, as well as traction motors.
