VHB (Very High Bond), developed by the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market. 3M Company is the solution to replace traditional mechanical fasteners such as rivets, nuts and bolts or welding.
This technology differs from standard double-sided adhesive tapes in that it has no foam backing. VHB tapes are composed exclusively of a viscoelastic acrylic adhesive and a film release sleeve.
This unusual structure allows the VHB absorb mechanical stress (shearing, peeling, tension, etc.), which gives the tapes exceptional strength and durability, making them the best solution for the following applications all assembly problems.
