What is methacrylate glue?

La methacrylate glue is a two-component adhesive based on methyl methacrylate (MMA), specially formulated to offer a powerful structural bondingeven on materials with a reputation for difficulty, such as plastics, composites, painted metals or aluminium. 

Unlike other structural adhesives, it does not require no primary and enables direct chemical bondingeven on substrates with low surface energy. It is ideal for assemblies subjected to intense mechanical, thermal and vibratory stresses.

FAQ - Methacrylate glue

Methacrylate glue is a two-component MMA-based adhesive designed to structural bonding of plastics, metals and compositeswithout primer. It offers high mechanical resistanceeven in demanding environments. 

La glue methacrylate is more flexible, quicker to cure, more tolerant of play and does not require priming. L'epoxy offers superior thermal resistance, but requires more prepared surfaces and longer curing times. 

Methacrylate glue adheres to engineering plastics (ABS, PC, PMMA, composites), metals (aluminium, steel, stainless steel), wood, glass and even painted or slightly contaminated surfaces, without prior treatment. 

Yes. She is resistant to moisture, salt water, chemicals and UV rays. This makes it ideal for outdoor, marine and extreme weather applications. 

Once cured, the methacrylate adhesive is paintable. However, light sanding can improve adhesion, especially with solvent-based or high-strength paints. 

Setting time varies according to the formulation: from 3 to 20 minutes for standard versions. Full hardening can range from 30 minutes to a few hours. It enables quick return to service.
