3M™ Specialty High Temperature Purple Masking Tape 501+ is a purple colored crepe paper masking tape for critical paint masking applications in the automotive, specialty vehicle, and industrial markets where excellent holding and high temperature performance are required.

Product Features

  • Purple colored specialty high temperature masking tape used for critical paint masking applications
  • High-temperature adhesive quickly sticks with confidence to most surfaces – including metal, rubber, glass, and plastic – while removing cleanly in one piece
  • Extra strong high-temperature purple crepe-paper backing conforms to irregular surfaces and resists bleed through from most industrial paint systems
  • Temperature resistant up to 300°F (149°C) for 30 minutes
  • Provides sharp paint lines
  • Backing provides excellent conformability

Storage and Shelf Life

Store under normal conditions of 70°F (21°C) and 50% R.H. in the original carton.
To obtain best performance, use within 18 months from date of manufacture.
