Methods Technician

Founded in 2006, ADDEV Materials is an international ETI, with 800 employees at 16 industrial sites in Europe, North America and Asia, and sales of €210m. The head office is based in Lyon, France. 

Our expertise is organised around two strategic activities: 

  • Customised packaging and dosing of surface treatments, adhesives and paints for the Aerospace & Defense sectors
  • Converting and cutting adhesives, technical films and foams for the Mobility Industry and Healthcare sectors.

And a specialist area: 

  • The manufacture of customised film and fibre solutions for the Power & Electronics sectors

*Transforming industrial challenges into sustainable materials solutions 

 

Reporting to the Industrial Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and managing articles, ranges and bills of materials in our ERP system (Sage X3), as well as updating them. You will compile the technical files required for production, including drawings, instruction sheets, control ranges and programmes. From the production design phase onwards, you will be involved in optimising manufacturing methods, while ensuring compliance with site safety rules. 
 
You will play a key role in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, by taking part in re-industrialisation studies. Your technical support to the quality and methods departments, and also to the production teams in the workshop, will be essential in resolving technical problems and guaranteeing the quality of our products. 
 
You will also be involved in pre-production and the start of industrialisation of new products. By taking part in the creation of prototypes, you will help to evaluate and validate new concepts. You will actively contribute to feasibility studies for new projects and the establishment of manufacturing processes for future parts. Finally, you will be in contact with the most suitable suppliers, subcontractors and service providers to meet project requirements. 

Profile required 

To succeed in this role, you will need a 2/3-year technical degree in industrial engineering, methods or equivalent, and a few years' experience in a similar position. You are curious and have a taste for technical and field work. 
 
You are comfortable using ERP software (and CAD/CAM design tools), ideally Solidworks, and have a good knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards. 
 
Your ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with different departments is essential, as are your analytical skills, autonomy and thoroughness. You have a good command of professional English.
