Two sites into one with lower energy consumption in Poland
ADDEV Materials has merged its two Polish sites into one new plant in Zychlin. This new plant is BREEAM* certified, the most widely used international certification standard for the environmental assessment of buildings.
New website
In January 2022, ADDEV Materials brought together its ADDEV Eurotech (in Łomianki, specializing in adhesive tapes solutions) and MICEL Sp. z o.o (in Zychlin, specializing in the processing of flexible insulation solutions and technical films) plants within a new 4600 m² facility built in Zychlin. The idea was to bring the Polish teams together at a single site to improve cooperation and efficiency and provide customers in Central Europe with greater responsiveness and better performance to support them in all their specific business requirements in the energy, automotive, rail, construction, and industrial sectors.
The new building offers the 70 employees 20% more space and a modern working environment. It has been designed to be highly innovative, flexible, and scalable with the acquisition of neighboring land, leaving open the possibility of a future expansion that would double the surface area of the plant.

Certifications
This new plant was ISO 9001 and 14001 certified in March 2022. The building has also been awarded BREEAM certification, which assesses the environmental performance of the premises and helps to reduce their running costs. Several eco-friendly solutions have been installed, including a heat recovery heating system, sensors to automatically cut off water and electricity in the restrooms when empty, a main energy switch to prevent appliances from remaining on standby when the factory is closed, and photovoltaic panels intended to produce 30% of the site’s electricity. Three electric vehicles have been ordered in a fleet of 13 vehicles.
The site has set two major environmental targets: a 10% reduction in electrical energy consumption and a 10% reduction in waste.
