Teflon® PFA (PerFluoroAlkoxy) film is a transparent thermoplastic which resists most liquid or gaseous solvents. Its resistance to moisture and organic vapours is very high. The properties of this polymer are similar to those of PTFE. However, Teflon® PFA sheet offers more conversion possibilities: these films can be heat-sealed, thermoformed, welded, metallised, laminated or even used as hot-melt adhesive.
These various manufacturing options, combined with the excellent properties of Teflon PFA, mean that this film is a versatile material used in numerous applications.
Teflon® FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) films are fluorinated polymers whose properties simplify the design process for a wide variety of high performance applications. Teflon® FEP is transparent and can be heat-sealed, thermoformed, welded and hot-welded.
Due to its non-stick properties it is an ideal mould-release film for numerous applications. The application of adhesive to one or both sides of Teflon® FEP film makes it suitable for bonding applications.
This versatility is enhanced by the superior properties of this fluoropolymer, which can be melt-processed, and by the broad range of product dimensions available.
