Anaerobic glue is a one-component acrylic-based adhesive (solvent-free) that cures at room temperature in the absence of oxygen and in the presence of metal ions as catalysts.
To prevent the adhesive from curing in the container, the bottles are usually half filled with air and air permeable to ensure that oxygen is always present.
Due to its specificities, the anaerobic glue is therefore suitable for three main types of application:
Anaerobic mono-component adhesives avoid loosening phenomena due to mechanical constraints such as vibrations and protect the assembly against galvanic corrosion.
