Acrylic sealant is a one-component sealant based on acrylic resin (this component can be water or solvent-based) polymerizing at room temperature by evaporation of water or solvent.
Acrylic sealants are said to be plasto-elastic, i.e. they have both plastic and elastomer characteristics.
They are suitable for low movement applications and have a good adhesion on porous materials: wood, concrete, plaster… It is used in particular in the form of acrylic sealant in the construction sector.
