Double-sided polyurethane foam open-cell adhesive tapes comprise a polyurethane foam substrate, an acrylic or rubber adhesive and a release liner which is generally made of paper.
The open cells provide a pathway for gases, air or moisture and thus the tapes are primarily intended for indoor use.
The rubber adhesive provides excellent initial tack and final adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, notably low surface energy plastics.
The acrylic adhesive is characterised by good initial tack, high bond strength, very good resistance to high temperatures and good shear strength.
