NeoHeater® refers to a range of flexible heating films designed to integrate a heating function directly into an industrial system. ADDEV Materials develops, transforms, and adapts these solutions for the Power & Mobility markets: energy, energy storage (BESS), automotive, rail, data centres, and industry. Each project is sized according to the active surface area, power, voltage, geometry, and integration constraints. ADDEV Materials' converting capabilities allow for the delivery of ready-to-integrate formats: laminated film, die-cut part, or sub-assembly with connectors.
NeoHeater® rests on printed, etched, metallic or resistive heating architectures, depending on the selected range. The thermal function is integrated into a technical film or a suitable substrate, in order to generate homogeneous heat as close as possible to the zone to be heated.
The range covers four technologies: NEO-RS for resistive polyimide films, NEO-FOIL for heating circuits on substrates, NEO-TRACK for printed or etched conductive tracks, and NEO-CH for transparent metal mesh-based heating films.
This approach reduces bulk, limits hotspots and facilitates integration into battery systems, technical modules, railway equipment, technical cabinets and cold-exposed industrial devices.
NeoHeater® is the preferred choice when the application requires controlled temperature rise, seamless integration and uniform heat distribution. The four criteria below provide a quick way to assess the benefits of this technology compared to silicone heating elements, PTC heating elements or heating cartridges.
Thin and flexible film — compact integration
Uniform heating — hotspot limitation
Bespoke design — tailored geometry and power
Rapid rise — target temperature in less than 1 min per design
ADDEV Materials offers four NeoHeater® ranges designed for different heating architectures. The choice depends on the substrate, the geometry, the required transparency, the target power output and the integration constraints.
| Range | Technology | Technical specifications | Main applications |
|---|---|---|---|
| NEO-RS | Flexible resistive polyimide film | Polyimide substrate 1 mil; conductive surface 100 ohm/sq; dielectric face ~1 × 10¹⁷ ohm/sq; breakdown voltage > 2,500 V | Heating of complex surfaces, cylindrical components, temperature maintenance |
| NEO-FOIL | Screen-printed resistive and conductive inks | Selectable substrate according to temperature, dimensions and flexibility; homogeneous heating; regulation by sensors possible | Batteries, technical modules, industrial modules, custom heating zones |
| NEO-TRACK | Printed or etched conductive tracks | Track-I (ink) or Track-E (etched) technology; compatible with PET, PEN, PI, PC, glass; specific design | Heated windows, heated seats, panels, automotive systems |
| Neo-Ch | Metal mesh transparent conductor | Network of fine metallic threads; optical transparency up to 89 %; permissible current limited depending on design | Heated transparent surfaces, screens, glazing, touch interfaces |
Thermal performance depends on the electrical design, the active surface, the substrate, the supply voltage and the thermal exchange conditions.
The values below correspond to the technical data provided for the NeoHeater® ranges and must be validated according to the final design.
NeoHeater® addresses the needs for localised heating, temperature maintenance, and the prevention of performance losses related to cold in the six Power & Mobility markets.
