Double-sided polyethylene foam closed-cell adhesive tapes comprise a polyethylene foam substrate (which may be laminated), an acrylic or rubber adhesive and a release liner which is generally made of paper.
The rubber adhesive provides excellent initial tack and final adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, notably low surface energy plastics.
The acrylic adhesive is characterised by a high bond strength, very good resistance to high temperatures and good shear strength.
