Cloth adhesive tapes comprise a cotton backing (up to 148 mesh, which guarantees its mechanical performance) with a treated plastic layer (e.g. a polyethylene) and a natural or synthetic rubber adhesive. Cloth adhesive tape is primarily used in industrial applications for jointing and masking or for repairing many different types of surfaces.
